At The Villas at Kettlestone in Waukee, we stand behind every home we build. That’s why every villa includes a comprehensive new-home warranty through the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty® program, administered by Front Line / NewHome Care.
Warranty Coverage Overview
- One Year Limited Workmanship Coverage
During the first year after closing, your home is covered for qualifying defects in workmanship and materials related to construction and installation, as defined by applicable warranty standards.
This coverage may include items such as:
- Interior finish installation
- Drywall and trim installation
- Flooring installation
- Cabinetry installation
Workmanship coverage during this period is provided by the builder and is subject to written warranty standards, tolerances, notice requirements, and repair procedures.
- Two Year Limited Systems Coverage
For two (2) years from the date of closing, limited coverage applies to certain major home systems for defects resulting from improper installation.
Systems may include:
- Plumbing systems
- Electrical systems
- Heating and cooling (HVAC)
This coverage applies only to construction‑related installation defects and does not replace individual manufacturer warranties on system components.
- Ten Year Limited Structural Coverage (Insurance Backed)
The most significant components of your home are protected through ten (10) years of limited structural coverage.
Structural elements generally include:
- Foundation systems
- Load‑bearing walls
- Structural framing components such as beams, girders, and joists
This portion of the warranty is insurance‑backed under the 2‑10 Home Buyers Warranty® program and is intended to provide long‑term protection against qualifying major structural defects, subject to defined claim thresholds and policy terms.
Backed by the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty® Program
The 2‑10 Home Buyers Warranty® program is a nationally recognized warranty provider that establishes standards for workmanship, systems, and structural components in new homes.
Homes at The Villas at Kettlestone Waukee participate in this program through Front Line / NewHome Care, which administers warranty registration, documentation access, and claim procedures in accordance with the issued warranty agreement.
Warranty Administration & Support
All warranty claims and communications are administered through Front Line / NewHome Care. Homeowners receive access to their digital warranty documents at closing and must follow the written claim procedures and timelines outlined in those documents.
Coverage determinations are made based solely on the terms of the written warranty agreement and applicable inspection findings.
Important Disclosures
This warranty is a limited construction defect warranty and is not a maintenance agreement or service contract. Normal aging, routine maintenance items, homeowner modifications, and owner‑caused damage are not covered. Appliances and equipment may carry separate manufacturer warranties. Cosmetic conditions are covered only during the applicable workmanship period and only if they exceed defined warranty standards.
